The Awty International Lower School, Houston, Texas, USA
In collaboration with Bailey Architects, Houston

An existing storage building was renovated for a new Lower School building for the Awty International School, Houston, Texas. The concept was based on a creation of small villages inside the vast building with the natural zenith light for the common areas. The industrial characters of the buildings together with the bold colors and oversized elements emphasized the world of “little people”. The exterior facade from color bricks represents the puzzle of learning with the zig-zag canopy.
