The expression created by Janacek Academy of Music’s facade is the most important article missing in today's streets and the two historical houses next door define it. The facade is a multimedia and interactive element reflecting the theater program. The structure of the main theater volume is expressed as a "box" covered with wooden acoustic panels on the interior surface and with wooden slats on the exterior surface. The "box" represents the world of music and imagination. The actual theater is designed as a classic rectangular space with uniformely distributed acoustics that offers a chance to create an ideal environment for music. The theater stage, an auditorium with seating for variable sizes of orchestra and audience can be organized into different configurations: for classical music arena, proscenium theater, etc. Recording studios are accessible from the foyer on the third floor and are expressed as a smaller "box" this time covered with metal acoustic panels on the interior and exterior surface.
