Museum of Modern Arts, Lausanne, Switzerland
Competition entry in collaboration with Heidy Rey architect, Switzerland

The museum of modern arts takes its anchoring point in the place Bellerive and launches out cantilevered over the lake: urban face to the city and the lake. On one side the swimming pool and parks, world of the relaxation, on another side the museum, world of the built urban culture. Principal spaces of the museum are located along the basin. The entry is central space with the bookshop and the garden on both sides. The temporary exhibitions receive the direct and indirect zenith light by a white mural crown of its circumferences. By a monumental staircase the visitors reach directly the permanent exhibits. The exhibit rooms are suspended above the quay and the lake: expressed in the concept of boxes in an envelope of glass. The space created between the two belongs to the visitor with the imposing panorama of the lake and the mountains from Jura to the Alps.
